Beyond “More” – Doing Recruiting Better

The labor market is experiencing a stark divide. Frontline work faces a severe labor shortage and employers struggle to hire fast enough. Conversely, professional workers are experiencing growing layoffs and job insecurity, leading to increased competition for open roles.

The reality is that many recruiters must effectively navigate both. Many of our customers find themselves simultaneously addressing critical frontline needs and navigating the complexities of the professional job market (primarily desk workers). This constant context switching can be incredibly demanding. In one instance, they’re actively trying to convince a candidate to join their organization, while in another, they’re sifting through resumes searching for that needle in the haystack.

Even for recruiting teams not navigating the constant context-switching, HR teams continue to be tasked with “doing more with less.” But instead, how can we help recruiters do it better?

Introducing the Employ Winter ’25 Release

At Employ, we know that the solutions we put in front of our recruiters empower them to do the important work better. And that means being able to reduce costs, drive productivity, and remain competitive as an employer of choice.

For the Employ Winter ’25 Release, we’ve focused on delivering simpler processes and a flexible talent ecosystem to help enhance the recruiting process. Here are some of the highlights:

A more simplified, candidate-friendly experience

  • Empower candidates to take control of their interview experience with self-scheduling for panel interviews in Lever, which are common for remote roles. By providing visibility into interviewer availability, Lever simplifies the process, allowing candidates to easily choose the time that works best for them – eliminating the need for unnecessary back-and-forth.
  • Ensure candidates receive timely communications with Jobvite’s automated invitations. Recruiters can send interview details and screening forms automatically as candidates advance – keeping candidates engaged while reducing manual tasks.

Automation and insights so recruiters can focus on more impactful work

  • Jobvite customers can connect their CRM to LinkedIn Recruiter to streamline the sourcing workflow. Find and add promising candidates from LinkedIn to your CRM while maintaining accurate work history and skills data. Manage all communications and access detailed candidate information for personalized outreach in one place.
  • Free up recruiters’ time for high-impact work with the ability to update multiple jobs at once.
    • For Lever customers, recruiters can now close multiple roles simultaneously, eliminating repetitive, manual work.
    • Within Jobvite, recruiters can now update multiple requisitions statuses at the same time to accelerate the hiring process without the admin work.

Greater flexibility for admins to build the right workflow for your needs

  • For Jobvite customers, your third-party vendors can now pull candidate data from your CRM based on criteria like date ranges and status changes. They can access selected details like work history, education, tags, notes, and custom fields for multiple candidates at once.
  • Recruiters can now easily turn LinkedIn Easy Apply on and off per job in JazzHR, so they can better target and control their sourcing efforts to reduce costs and improve productivity. This innovation will roll out progressively to all customers in March.

These are just some of the highlights of the Winter ’25 Release and how we will continue to deliver new innovations to improve the recruitment experience this year.

A Look Ahead

This year at Employ, you’ll continue to see innovations that address, head-on, the real problems of recruiters today.

One of the many I’m excited about is how we’ll be able to leverage aggregated data across all three Employ solutions so you can benchmark your data against our 23,000 customers, providing valuable insights into performance relative to your industry, region, and specific job titles. This type of unique access to such a vast and diverse data set and the ability to benchmark your success against small businesses to enterprise organizations will be your competitive advantage. You’ll see the first release of this soon.

And I can’t talk about innovation without talking about artificial intelligence (AI). AI is part of our DNA and not just a feature, and we’re focused on using it strategically to streamline processes and free up recruiters’ time. In our next release in May, you’ll see AI-based recommendations across the Employ ecosystem that will help recruiters make faster, more informed hiring decisions.

Do It Better in 2025

At the end of the day, it’s not really about only focusing on the right technology; it’s about hiring the best talent for your organization. I’m beyond thrilled to be able to share all the work we’ve done across the Employ ecosystem and I’m thankful for the feedback and insights from our customer community.

We’re just getting started.
