One year ago today, I stepped into the role of CEO at Employ. Since then, I’ve had the privilege of working alongside an incredibly talented team, engaging with our customers to better understand their needs, and leading a company that is redefining the future of talent acquisition.
It’s been a year of evolution—delivering new innovations through product development and our recent acquisition of Pillar, enhancing our customer experience, creating a culture with opportunities for employees to thrive, and bringing our leading ATS solutions (JazzHR, Lever, and Jobvite) closer together as the backbone products that forged Employ.
And we aren’t slowing down. We’re starting my second year with just as much, if not more, enthusiasm for shaping the future of work.
Revolutionizing Hiring with AI-Powered Innovation
We’ve made incredible strides in helping recruiters work smarter—not harder—through AI-powered automation, workflow efficiencies, and data-driven insights. One of the biggest advancements came with our acquisition of Pillar, the leading AI interview intelligence platform. By integrating Pillar into our solutions, we’re helping hiring teams make more informed, skills-based decisions while enhancing the candidate experience.
This move underscores our commitment to AI as an enabler—not a decision-maker. We believe AI should simplify workflows, eliminate inefficiencies, and empower recruiters to focus on what they do best: building human connections.
While you’ll see a lot more AI-powered capabilities in our product roadmap moving forward, it’s important to remember the fundamental needs that automation enhances to get the job done every day. Over the past year, we introduced new features that focus on enhancing our ATS product suite through the lens of a people-first approach:
- Automated interview invitations in Jobvite, keeping candidates engaged and reducing recruiter workload.
- Bulk job updates in Jobvite and Lever, eliminating repetitive administrative tasks.
- Expanded third-party vendor access in Jobvite, giving customers greater control over data sharing and integrations.
- LinkedIn Recruiter CRM integration in Jobvite and LinkedIn Easy Apply in JazzHR, ensuring accurate candidate data and seamless sourcing.
- Self-scheduling for panel interviews in Lever, allowing candidates to easily select interview times.
Empowering Our Customers with Unmatched Support
A great product experience is only as strong as the support behind it. Earlier this year we reduced customer-support tickets by 40% and accelerated support resolution times. And over the last several months we’ve made significant investments in our Help Center, launching AI-powered assistance and expanding self-service resources across Jobvite and Lever.
Customers have easier access to up-to-date and relevant information through AI Chat assistance, easier navigation, simplified request processes, and increased knowledge resources.
Strengthening Our Culture and Identity
Internally, we’ve made bold moves to align our company’s vision, culture, and brand with the evolving needs of our customers.
- We opened our Center of Excellence in Denver, Colorado, serving as a hub for collaboration and innovation.
- We refined our product positioning, ensuring organizations of all sizes and complexities find the right solution—whether it’s JazzHR for rapid hiring, Lever for agile hiring, or Jobvite for specialized hiring.
- We reinforced our customer-first, people-first culture, guided by our core values: we are accountable, customer obsessed, innovative, and people first.
- We introduced an internal mentorship program, piloted a self-leadership training series, and offered leadership trainings and roundtable discussions, creating more pathways for all employees to learn, lead, and grow at every stage of their career.
- We created our four-week Jumpstart cohorts, an intensive enablement program that brings teams together to set set them up for greater success.
- We launched our unified Employ brand, which brings our people-first culture to life and ties our core ATS solutions of JazzHR, Lever, and Jobvite to Employ.
